A Russian fighter movie called Mirror Wars or Zerkalnie Voyni originally, from 2005 with a story that looks like Top Gun on steroids.

They actually paid Russian pilots to fly with no canopy, and the RIO ejected just for the sake of good footage. The pilot claims he flew at Mach 2 with no canopy, and even put his fingers out of the cockpit for an inch or two just to feel the breeze. I thought putting the hand through the window on the highway was something.

Definitely B. Still, way cool visuals. The SOVS built the best egress and life support gear. Why do I hope the AIM-120 misses him?

Surprisingly, the air going past the cockpit at mach 2 may not even be supersonic where he put his fingers. It is possible that there is a shock wave attachment at the canopy that might have subsonic air behind it. Still, you have to have either big brass ones or a tiny brain to even try it.

What is the significance of the website? I went there just for giggles and it looks like a Russian Disney site.

well since you asked... the name itself. kino-govno would be in our language(s) literally translated as cinema-shit. and since the Bosnian/Croatian and Russian languages ar somewhat similar to each other in many ways, naturally it provoked some eye-poking effect. I thought it was some prank site or something... but it looks legit.

well, I guess it's another case of Kenjara coffe case. Very Happy

Was I the only one waiting for an F-22 to swoop in and blow his ugly Russian plane from the skies?

Beautiful!
I bet the producers said "Let's make a movie with everything!"
And the director said "We have to get Malcolm, Rutger and Armand for this one..." Laughing

Vanya did you see the whole movie? I think Morak nailed it, it does seem like an after-party laugh-along movie Smile

Hahaha, I almost forgot about that one. Yes,epic.

I haven't watched the movie yet but the download is in progress. Gota first bring together a lot of people for premiere, because it's much funnier when you watch it with others. Well, you gota admit, it has some good footage. Chevaliers De Ciel or Sky Fighters in English had a bad story but great footage and I liked it. This one seems to have great footage and hilarious plot which is even better.

I wonder what did they make up to make flying without canopy reasonable, because I think they flew without it long before than RIO ejected Laughing
